#RainbowSnippets *~* Dec. 12-13, 2015 *~*

Since I’m getting ready to write book #3 in the Gate to the Worlds series, I selected this week’s 6-sentence snippet from St. Andrew’s Bay Chronicles (Gate to the Worlds, #1). Enjoy!

“Franco closed his eyes and enjoyed this little gift. If he was passing from this life to the next, listening to his tesoro’s voice was heaven. A warm hand touched his jaw, softly electrifying his body. When he opened his eyes again the angst in the other man broke his heart. It had to be him. No one else could look at him as if he held the answer to all their prayers.”

BLURB

After the disappearance of his beloved at sea, Captain Andrew Callaghan found solace at St. Andrew’s Bay. Years later, a series of attacks to his merchant vessels have him turn into a feared pirate with an assumed death wish.

Washing ashore with no memories of his whereabouts for the last five years, Franco Rodríguez y Rivera knew he had to follow the mythical sextant now in his possession to retrace his forgotten journey.

Together, the men will take sail in hopes to find the truth behind Franco’s affliction. A battle against time, and the West Indies Squadron will show them that a life of adventure awaits beyond their bay.

      1. Matelotage! My favourite. I’m a great fan girl of the Welsh pirates since curating an exhibition on them a few years back. Bartholomew Roberts is my favourite, especially his tragic passion for George Wilson. Any how, I’ll definitely be following your snippets 🙂

    1. Thank you. They were friends since a young age, then became a couple. The picture on top is a sunset in Puerto Rico, where the majority of the story takes place. And, one of the pirates does drink his sorrows away for a couple of years.
