2016 #ROW80 Round 1: Check-In 22 | 10 Minute Novelist: Update 11
Now that I’m getting closer to my deadline and the end of my manuscript, I’m contacting all those helpful eyes that would get this story ready to be submitted.
Since Spanish is my first language, I need an alpha reader to look for obvious mistakes before I can send it to my beta readers. This is going to be the first time that I’ll use more than one beta reader, and I’m excited about it. I love getting feedback, and I’m looking forward to their impressions and suggestions.
Then, I’m sending the complete manuscript to a proofreader to catch everything we missed. She would be the fourth person taking care of my story and the last one to work on it before I send it to the publisher.
And then, more people would get involve in the process before it gets released; most likely, by the end of the year. It’s a long process, but very rewarding when the reviews start coming in.
I will be ending the first quarter of #ROW80 with the completion of my manuscripts, and starting the next with the final edits. It definitely sounds good to me.
