For those wondering, Clay and Aaron were in the parking lot of a city park during last week’s snippet; getting ready to watch the 4th of July fireworks. Yup, working on their own magic, but what you read was about as far as they got 😛
This week, Clay stopped for a surprise visit at Grant Lanes, Aaron’s family farm. It’s around 5:45 am on a Thursday, the first day of the planting season. Everyone is gathering to get their chores for the day. Aaron’s students would be part of the crew, getting hands on experience.
“Nope, you know I only have eyes for your son.” He heard the girls giggled and the hush conversation that followed, but he didn’t care either way. Hopefully, Aaron didn’t mind his students knowing about his private life. Well, if they were on his land, it should be all right.
“Are you making an honest man out of him this time around?”
“Dad! Seriously?” Aaron admonished as he exited the house, putting on his working gloves.
“Morning, sunshine. Surprise!”
