“Who’s there?” My voice bounced in the forest, an echo my only answer. I was trying to figure out whose idea had me walking naked, at dawn, when I could be at the festival with the rest of my clan. I have no clue about why I needed to offer myself in sacrifice for our people to find love. “I’m their prince after all,” I murmured. “They should serve me, not the other way around.”

“Look what I got here. I’m definitely claiming you, my prince,” a thief cladded in green said, holding an arrow pointed towards my heart.
