#RAINBOWSNIPPETS *~* APRIL 16-17, 2016 *~*

This week we continue with another snippet of my current #WIP. They had been dating for seven months and with the arrival of the holidays (in their timeline), Clay finds himself planning a Christmas weekend date. In today’s snippets, they are leaving Midnight Mass at the Grotto of the Redemption in West Bend, IA.

“Wake-up, love.”

“It’s almost time to leave. Wake up, love,” Aaron murmured in Clay’s ear.

“Fuck,” Clay said startled.  Opening his eyes, he found many disapproving faces looking back at him. Aaron’s squeezed his hand and smiled at the parishioners. Clay was glad everyone turned towards the priest before he could coordinate an obnoxious retort in the House of the Lord.

Rainbow SnippetsRainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQ+ authors, readers, and bloggers to gather once a week to share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation.
