Today’s snippet is from a WIP I’m putting aside for a couple of months. Not because the characters aren’t talking, but because I want to concentrate on a different project that it’s speaking louder. Who knows, perhaps after this snippet, they might get a little time here and there. My original plan was to submit it for an open call, but the deadline already went by. Now, I’m planning to self-publish it over the holidays.
A little background. The MCs’ plane just landed. Eric is taking his luggage from the overhead compartment, and Wick is moving forward to get his next. They’re friends [without benefits] taking a vacation together. Hope you like meeting Eric and Wick. Enjoy!
With a smile still on his lips, Wick turned to stand up, but instead collided against Eric’s flat stomach. Startled, not only by the soft skin against his face, but by the moan that escaped Eric, Wick placed a soft kiss to the exposed skin before realizing his mistake. Wick looked up finding only lust on Eric’s eyes; the same eyes that closed immediately after breaking the spell. Wick pretended to be busy getting his backpack sorted until Eric spoke.
“Yeah,” Wick responded, following Eric out of the plane. He wanted to kick himself for his stupidity.
