#RAINBOWSNIPPETS *~* JUNE 25-26, 2016 *~*

With the end of this month, comes the end of this story. I wrote ‘The End’ around midnight and sent it out for the first round of edits. In the meantime, I need to update my working blurb & synopsis and find a couple of beta readers that can do a quick turn around. I planned for it to be about 6K words and ended up with almost 10K. But, I’m glad about the outcome.

Enjoy the last snippet of Scott’s and Patrick’s story… for now.

Patrick wanted to keep Scott close, not liking the separation or the implication of the piece of furniture between them. Following Scott, he sat on one of the chairs across the desk. He smiled when Scott’s gaze followed his hands as he opened his suit jacket. Slowly, he traced the buttons of his vest all the way up until he touched his necktie. With Scott now concentrated on him, he continued upwards, stopping by his Adam’s apple and tracing the sore cut on his lip; lingering until he heard a soft groan escaping Scott. When he looked up, Scott’s nostrils flared just before he closed his eyes, severing their connection.

  1. Nicely sensuous but I’m a little confused and it took a couple re-readings — I wasn’t sure who the “his” was referring to, but I’m guessing that Patrick is playing with Scott’s clothes and lip, not his own?

    If so, maybe this?
Slowly, he traced the buttons of Scott’s vest…
