November has been a challenging month for my muse, but this scene has been the only constant. I don’t think it’s going to be part of the final cut, but the main idea would remain. I’m still contemplating the direction this story wants to go but I’m letting the characters control the ride. No outlines, no planning, just their words. Will see what happens in the end.
As soon as the door closed behind him, Elliott started removing all the contraptions he needed to play human. The twenty-eight degrees Fahrenheit displayed on every outdoor thermometer was inconsequential to him. His thick scarf landed over the flower arrangement in the foyer, his pale leather gloves in close proximity, and his heavy peacock jacket hit the tiles with a thud. With a snap of his fingers soft light illuminated his brownstone’s living room. According to the gorgeous realtor, it had been a great inversion for someone so young. Ha! Young.
